High Water

Live video streaming, screen recording software, computer,
screen, video live broadcasting, variable size, 2021

High Water is a project about a “live streaming based on live streaming”. The artist collected several live video feeds of water, such as rivers, lakes, oceans, etc., and used screen recording software to add information about the location, geography and distance from the viewer in front of the live feed. The multiple layers of images were then streamed to the exhibition site screen for a second time. Although the image is real-time flow of water, the viewing of water becomes an unrealistic cross-screen and cross-space behavior, and in the scene, the audience must look up at the screen, instead of looking down at the water, as we are used to.
